वेदोत्पत्तिः(ORIGIN OF AYURVEDA)

The word ayurveda is derived from the word वेद (veda) which is considered as the most renowned word in the whole universe. As the ayu, the life is being protected it is named as ayurvedam.
The origin of ayurveda :
ब्रह्मा प्रोवाच ततः प्रजापतिरधिजगे, तस्मादश्विनौ, अश्विनाभ्यामिन्द्रः, इन्द्रादहं, मया त्विह प्रदेयमर्थिभ्यः प्रजाहितहेतोः।।(सु.सू.1/28)
brahma (the creator)
Prajapathi (daksha prajapthi)
ashwini kumara
Indra(the king of devas)
Dhanvathari
when the world started its path towards resareches, Europeans where the first people to consider rigveda as the origin. Centuries back, Bharathvarsh, was flurishing with all the vignans like ayurvedavignana, shastra vigngna, ganit vignana etc., then these were spread to other countries like unan where unani was developed from there it went to england where the researchers developed a new science from it.

In the later period, during the colonial rule, the direct presence of the Europeans by and large influenced the science and technology in India as in other Asian counties. The homogenizing impact of science and technology of Western origin continued in our country even when other countries like Japan and China have escaped the negative effects of colonial subjugation, retaining their self identity. Another important reason is that English education not only strengthened the hegemonic impact of the language on all branches of learning but also pushed Sanskrit and Sanskrit education to the background. The scientific knowledge in its cultural context could not be acquired unless the classical language like Sanskrit could be studied in depth. More over, “the writings of the English educated historians of science and of the scientists themselves show little or no notable sign of their familiarity with the rich tradition or the development of science in India”.
